Help Help HELP!!!!

Hi all,

I failed NCLEX first attempt with 265q and I will be testing again in 2.5 weeks. Im still having trouble with the priority and delegation part. I have the LAcharity book but I was trying to see if there are any cool hints that anyone has to offer. This is so frustrating. Select all that apply and Priority and Delegation are gonna be the death of me lol

Have you heard don't delegate what you can EAT - evaluate, assess, teach (anything that specifically requires nursing judgment and knowledge). For example, you wouldn't send an LPN or nurse aide to see a pt who was about to be discharged - this pt requires teaching. The LPN/aide should get pts who are stable with expected outcomes. Have you come across the awesome study guide someone posted here? Literally everyone who I graduated with used it to study and passed. I'll try to find the link for you and post it here

OMG thank you soooo much!!! I will begin reading it ASAP!

I don't like NCLEX prioritization because it is not how I would prioritize in the real world. Now delegating. I don't know if you worked as a CNA or LPN before but that's how I always remembered it. What was my scope of practice when I was .... . Also I agree with the EAT acronym. I never heard of that before but it's true. If anything requires thinking it cannot be delegated as a rule of thumb.

Thanks Bubblejet...the NCLEX prioritization drives me freaking nuts.
