help on my friend's resume

Published

hi guys... i know this is asking too much but if anybody can help me that would be nice... my friend is asking me to help make her resume, i am not familiar on how nursing resumes are done and i tried searching the net, no avail.. she wants me to help her make OBJECTIVES that would likely impress her future employer... pls help!! any ideas or sample objectives so i can at least know how it's done... thanks!!!

do we really need to impress future employers with our resumé objective? i think it's more of the performance that she will show her employer. what does she want to do? what does she want to achieve? tell her to base it on her dreams alongside her capabilities. and also consider the values. if it impresses the future employer then it's good. but dont make one just to impress.

i might have exagerrated on the impressing the employers part, what she really wants is to have a presentable resume that would be able to speak of her qualities and capabilities. it is still important to be able to impress your employers because your resume would say a lot about the applicant. anyway, thanks for your post.

BloodyTom, of course the experience and quality of work is necessary, but the resume is the first impression. How about something like, "A position in the field of nursing with opportunity for new challenges leading to effective patient outcome." Just tell your friend to think about what her ultimate goal is...then sum it up in a sentence or two. Hope this helps! :)
