Help, not finding the right fit in FL

Hi everyone,

I need some advice, please. I keep taking jobs in Florida, that either are not a good fit, no benefits, etc. I am an RN with 35 yrs experience in Home Care, Acute (ICU/CCU) care and Case Management. I know my strengths and weaknesses. Health Care has changed and in home care in FL, the companies want you to do a lot of visits and don't hire FT anymore. At least not now, with the economy so bad. Any advice would be appreciated. I just quit my last job, after 2 months because I was working 18 hr days, paid for 40, no OT, I was Case Manager for 4 ALF's, had signed up for one, then corporate switched my territory to 4 buildings, with an hour commute.

Thank you!

Gads, I am so sorry! Wishing you the best and know you are confronting horrible economy.

I'm a transplant from Boston and not bearing good news. I am just struggling to go to next interview at Moffitt. Have you looked into Tampa General? In patient nursing but they have positions. I don't know how hours are or benefits. You (and me) are over qualified but struggling in tough market. Let me know... Wishing you the best.

I wish you well at Moffitt. Very good facility.:) Fla market is very tough right now and I know you can see the distinct difference in compensation since you are coming from up north. I pray you both are able to find a good position with great benefits and a good environment:)
