I am just starting studying for anatomy and physiology 1 and 2. I ordered the book on amazon. Did anybody use any study guides or additional books. I am already an LPN for 20 yrs so this should just be review. Did anyone take the test for excelsior and how was it.
i am doing ap 1 and 2 at clovis community college online. It is cheap and the professor even records lectures for us. registration for the summer is april 13th. Under $200 for the 4 credit course, it includes lab. and you use the same book for ap 2. they don't have micro, i am unfortunately doing that through TCN. I already signed up for their modules before i read these posts, now i am sorry i did. seems like i am going to be paying more money than i have to. clovis.edu look at it , i am doing my sociology through them to and they have a nelnet payment plan if you need it and you can get financial aid too.
Luna is right, the volume of material can be overwhelming even if it is just review. One positive note is that with so much material, there is no way they can go too in depth on any one topic. Refer to the breakdown of the material on the test found at the begining of the Excelsior study guide and focus on the parts that are tested the heaviest. I used the Chancelors study guide, but found that the pocket guide Cliffs notes was compact and easy to carry. I also used Barrons A&P made Incredibly easy as well as numerous online study sites (just search on google) for matching, labeling and filling in the blank games that were free. Oh yeah, and the practice exam of course ! You will just have to find the way that you learn the best and take advantage of multiple approaches to the material. Best of luck to you!
clovis.edu it is accredited. my school will accept it along with the local community colleges, i checked because i didn't know if i was going to do the college network or go to class for nursing so i wanted to be sure the ap classes would be accepted. The professor records lectures, he returns emails for any questions we have or he also responds to the discussion board. He is very thorough and the classes include lab they are 4 credit courses. i am finishing up ap1 will be doing ap 2 accelerated in june. registration for summer courses are going on now. $184 for a 4 credit course with payment plan of $48 downpayment and $60 a month for two months. will be done with ap2 at end of july. just in time for september classes. application for the college is free. You don't have to send your transcripts unless you are going for financial aid.

How do you find out what books you need for the Clovis classes? I can't find that anywhere...I wanted to get my books early.
Anyone know?
Thanks!

Anatomy and physiology are both courses that I would recommend taking in a classroom environment to get full advantage of an instructor's presence and opportunities for help and tutoring.
