Could someone please help me understand my pts echo results:
The Echo showed an ejection fraction of 65%.
The left ventricle was normal in size but had mild concentric hypertrophy and good systolic function.
The left atrium was enlarged.
The color flow mapping showed the aortic valve measured to be 0.6cm2 with a mean gradient of 64mmHg and peak gradient of 92mmHg.
There is mild aortic insufficeny and mild tricuspid regurgitation.
The estimated pulmonary artery systolic pressure is 28mmHg.
I have looked in my texts, but none of them are very helpful with the numbers being normal or abnormal.
Thank you.
