I think you will be able to get into Duke or Wake Med right now - you will just have to sign a contract that you will go back to get your BSN soon. Duke and Wake Med both hire new grads in their ICUs. I have no doubt they will hire experienced nurses, too, even if your education level isn't what they're looking for. Just go ahead and apply and see what happens!
I applied at both Duke and Wake Med as a new grad to their ICU positions. I did not get a callback from either one, but there are a handful of my new grad classmates working at both facilities, probably 3-4 at each one. I didn't particularly want to work in Raleigh/Durham so I'm not too bummed. :)

Hello all!
I am currently on the west side of NC and work in a very...very rural hospital. My wife and I are thinking about moving to Raleigh/Durham. I wanted to know if yall thought I would be able to get into a CICU/CVICU at Duke/UNC/Wake Med.
Here is what I do at my hospital now -
It is an "ICU" and I will have three years experience of
Vent management
Pressors- Dopamine, Levophed, Neo (to name some of our most common)
Cardiac related gtts - Cardizem, Nitro ect.
Heprin gtts
Art lines, CVP
I am sure I am missing some things but this is the most relevant.
I am an Associates prepared nurse.
What do yall think I could do to increase my chances of getting hired at one of these places? I am currently pursuing CCRN and I will be RN III by the time I apply. I will also start working toward my BSN before I apply.
Any thoughts?
