Hey everyone! I am new to this site and have some questions. I am an experienced ICU RN (will be almost 10 yrs by the time i apply). I have also worked as a traveler for several yrs, so i have worked in many different types of ICUs. But now i really want to go back to school, and hopefully for CRNA. My problem is, when i first went to nursing school and got my ADN straight out of HS, I had no plans of continuing my education. Barely studied, did alot of partying, and got by with a 2.85 GPA As soon as i got out, i started working towards my BSN, and graduated from that 2 yrs later with an overall GPA of 3.2. But my BSN program GPA alone was 3.8. My last 60 hrs GPA is 3.4, but should improve a little after retaking some classes. My big problem is that science GPA is terrible (
1. Will they forgive my aweful ADN GPA since i did do better in the BSN program?
2. If i bring up my science GPA by taking a few more classes, will the first grades also be factored in to my science GPA?
3. Are statistics and Algebra included in the science GPA?
I have alot of work to do to boost my sciences, and want to get started ASAP. But if i still won't be able to get in, there is no need in me wasting the time and money to take these classes. And i will just have to settle for NP school. So PLEASE help! I need all the advice i can get!!! And SO SORRY this is so lengthy!

Answers IMO:
1. Probably (BSN more recent and more important/relevant)
2. Probably
3. Probably not...When they look at science courses, they truly mean science courses (chem, biiochem, physics, etc.) Many schools look at stats separately and havent heard of too many worried about algebra per se (as long as you can do critical care drug calcs you should be fine).
Take/re-take some science and/or grad courses to help boost your GPA. Do well on GRE and you should be ready to work on the rest of application materials. Good luck~
