Humm, the creative side of me says something like the pizza hut 4 piece theme. Helicopter, smiling patient with a cast/etc., someone in wild crazy mode, then smiling in a group activity. and Under it this 4 piece pic, a statement positive about nursing. Nurses make life come together in difficult situations.
Hope this helped
I really like this idea. I'm sure we could really play with it to come up with something individualized, like somehow play our school mascot or our school of nursing into it......hmmmm....thanks for getting my creative wheels turning. So much theory and care plans and nursing diagnoses makes for one slow working creative side!!

I'm thinking top ten reasons for becoming a nurse:
(10) Oh-so-slimming white uniforms
(9) Meet new and interesting people - and stick them with needles
(8) Even when not at work, you get to hear about the medical problems of everyone you meet
(7) The opportunity to diagnose *yourself* with all sorts of scary medical ailments based on symptoms everyone else takes in stride
(6) Your immune system is strong enough to scare smallpox
(5) Did I mention all the great pens?
(it's late and I'm in a silly mood - feel free to add on... :))
LOL! Get a black t-shirt with a lovely set of keys printed on it with a cadeusis keychain and have the saying be "oh yes, we will have the med room keys one day!" Then on the back..."be afraid..be very afraid" Your teachers will crack up!!!!
OR for Pysch
"Straight Jackets? No no, we call them snuggle coats!"
OR
"I learned my ALS from Med Surge"
back "Always Lifting Something!"
I am sure I can come up with more after some coffee..or bed..not sure which yet..LOL!
Royal blue t-shirt with "superman" shape on back in yellow and red, instead of S for superman, SN for 'student nurse' with your school stats (level IV, your school of nursing) underneath
Snellen chart type box on back, using that format to put the name of your school, your level, fall 2004 in descending size letters. Basically a Snellen chart that spells what you want it to say out, does that make sense?
Construction type sign (yellow or orange), with stick figure nurse (with hat and stethoscope) in black with white hat with red cross on it, underneath the words "RN under construction" and your stats
OH the snellen chart gave me another idea! Good suggestion!!!!! How about the Walley (sp?) and Wong pain chart using the faces to describe pain! Put a red circle around one of them with a cleaver phrase dependant on what your class chooses as the right face to represent their mood! LOL!
Or an EKG rhythmn that forms your school name or initials!!! And say "perfect rhythm!"

Keep in mind that this has to be approved by our School of Nursing, so it can't really reflect what you sometimes might have thought about nursing school
. We always come up with a t-shirt every semester but our creative student that always comes up with the ideas quit nursing school, so I volunteered to organize the t-shirt this semester. We are in our 4th semester and graduate in May. Our focus this semester is advanced med-surg and psych.
Any ideas would be appreciated! :)
