Help for a co-worker

All - I've made some positive comments when others have reported an injured kid, a family member with cancer, etc. I'd like to ask for you guys to do a little thing in return for me - well, not for me, exactly. I hate to use the phrase 'thoughts & prayers' at this anxious time for obvious reasons, and I'm not what I'd call 'conventionally religious' myself, but nevertheless... thoughts and prayers, depending on your religious bent, is probably what's called for.

I'm about to change jobs, but one of my favorite, most-respected, and best-sense-of-humor fellow nurses at my current job has been through more than one scary health situation lately, and is now having an exploratory procedure, maybe tomorrow. Just take a second for her if you feel so inclined. Thanks.

So...here's the deal. God knows you and He knows how you wrangled with whether you should post this plea for help for someone you cherish dearly but were hesitant to "reach out" for in such a forum. Your post is a leap of faith and, I believe, very courageous on your part, and I'm sure God is saying, "oh Yea!!" with a big smile on His face. So, as I've posted before, for all to read, I have faith in Jesus Christ, and through Him, all things are possible, and it is in His name I pray for God's Grace and healing intervention for one of your favorite, most respected, and best sense of humor fellow nurses...AMEN!

Done. ((( hugs )))

Yeah, Old Dude, I did wrangle with posting my request. As I once told a couple of cousins, "my beliefs aren't as concrete or specific", but no matter - I knew that if I got responses, they'd vary, and most importantly at this time, I appreciate your prayer for my friend.

I'll think pleasant thoughts to the cosmos and pray that the god of your heart is with you and yours during this time. After all good friends are just the family of your heart.

prayers... because it is what I know how to do, not pushing religion though, just my way of thinking of your co-worker

Those kinds of co-workers are worth their weight in gold. Prayers for refuah shelemah, complete healing of body and spirit.

Yes they are, and she is.

I've appreciated every prayer, and every positive thought - and again, for her benefit, not mine. But thanks everyone.
