Good LUCK
I just got back home from teaching a two-day ACLS class. A few thoughts after watching the new Critical Care nurses (all 34 of them) and the 10 SRNAs:
- Make sure that you know how to read the rhythms. If you cannot read an EKG, ACLS is not the course for you. Take a Dysrhythmia course first.
- Know the pharmacology cold. Know what drugs work for what, and have an idea of how they work. You don't need to be a D.Pharm. in order to pass (or even to do well), but you need to be able to think critically.
- Learn the guidelines. Live the guidelines. Love the guidelines!
- Take some time to get to know the equipment from your facility. If you don't know your equipment, it won't matter how well you know how to shock, as you won't be able to monitor!
Good luck!

I have heard conflicting information about whether or not Vasopressin can be given down the tube?
