Hey there my name is jocelyn and i am a candian LPN that graduated 4 years ago. i have been working at a hospital in new brunwick since i graduated. i work on an extended care floor with the elderly. i am proud to be part of the first group of lpn's to pass meds in a hospital setting (in NB). i love working with the elderly very much. i am looking for any info anyone can give me on work exchange programs. i would like to try working in houston texas for a few months and see if i like it. also wondering if there is a huge demand for lpn's in texas at this time? and what the rate of pay is?

LPNs are used quite a bit in Texas. Actually I think its one of the few states that use this group of nurses to their full potential.
Good luck to you.

Hey there, I'm not sure how you'd go about working down in TX as a LPN. Nurses from Canada have to have a RN in order to get a work visa and to get the work visa you have to jump through a lot of hoops with a ton of paperwork. now I know things may be different if your married to an American, that being said either way its a long process.
