hello everyone, I need advice about LPN/RN program.

Hi, I am kind of new to the nursing forum. This isn't my first account with all-nurses forum. I lost my user and password to my old account, which was made over 18 years ago. Anyways, In 2007, I dropped out of school before finishing general academic courses at a community college because life got so stressful. I have heard only great things about the 2 year RN program but my grades are not so great at the moment because I dropped too many classes in 2007. I will retake all of my dropped courses from 2007 and already studying for the SAT since I've never taken it which required to get into the nursing program here. I plan on starting classes in spring or summer. Hoping I get into Spring classes. I worry about not getting into the nursing program because my friend almost did not get accepted into the nursing program. She made good grades in college and she already had a degree in social work. A person over nursing program said she didn't not make into nursing program because she graduated from high school with a C in a subject. She talked to them and finally got into the nursing program. I could try to get accepted into the LPN program again. I went into the LPN program after I graduated from high school and dropped out because I was so afraid of failing. A teacher for the LPN program said If I dropped out I may never get back into the program again. when I was young, I had no self-esteem but now, I love to talk and I'm not shy. I am determined to get back into the either the LPN or RN program and do what it takes to pass. Guess my questions are can someone get back into the LPN program after dropping out and does retaking classes affect your chances of getting into nursing? I am going to talk to an adviser at my school for more advice before Friday. Any advice given is appreciated and I thank you for you time in reading my post.
