Hi, that is great.:yeah:How did you approach your studying?
I am scheduled to take Health Safety....and feel like I am running around in circles. I am kinda just jumping back and forth with the study guide from EC. using just recommended text. (older versions) and I did practice test A, only made a 60%.
I feel really unorganized, I am not sure I am following the study guide correctly. or better yet not sure how to use it.
Thanks
I did both practice tests right off the bat. Then, I carefully read over them - all the questions and answers. I made notes in a notebook of what I missed and what I saw as key points in the test. I tend to write them down the way *I* think or how I need to get the info, though.
Example:
-know the vitamins and where they come from
-look up the stages of wounds - what does a stage 2 wound look like?
-antibodies do what?
I looked up whatever I thought I needed to - google it, look it up in my little medical dictionary, whatever works.
Then, I read over the StudyGroup101 notes. I kept my notebook close so I could jot down anything I want to look up after I finished a section without looking it up then and there and risk going off track (facebook, e-mail, etc.).
Plenty of coffee and frequent breaks help, too.
It was a fairly easy test. I'm sure I would have gotten an A had I given myself more time. It was a spur of the moment decision - I woke up one morning and decided I wanted to test the next. So, I did! Passing an exam is fun! :)

thanks for the advice : ) I am also starting to "kind of" study for this one. Waiting for all my texts to come in, then I just plan on reading all the recommended chapters and using these study guide notes I bought off ebay.

thanks for this run down on how you study! this actually helps a lot! i just want to quickly get this one out of the way without too much trouble. i have the sg101 notes and the ec study guide. i was going to really review all of that and maybe not even do the practice tests.

Not much study time for this one, found it to be pretty basic.

I studied for about 1 week... went to Disney World the day before the test w/my little one :-)
I found it to be pretty fundamental knowledge, like stuff that we already should know from being a LPN. Took both practice tests right away and made an 80 and 81%. The things I really needed to review from the practice exam I did exactly like the previous poster who wrote them down and went back over them. I also used SG101. Got an A on the exam :-)
