Health insurance for families

How does it work out for family health insurance if you become a traveler?

I would love to work somewhere sunny/warm for 3 months a year.

Is family health insurance affordable? Good coverage for families?

Lee Memorial Health System in Fort Myers Florida has a seasonal nurse program. You work there 6 months full time, take 6 months leave. You get full-time benefits all year round. While on leave, you keep your health insurance by paying your portion monthly. I have family coverage including eye and dental for 280/month, year round.

Now this sounds great if family insurance coverage is affordable and would cover the family. They can stay in the cold and I can be in the heat/sun for 6 months. :)
