Hey in health assessment do you have to touch bare breasts when examining the other person? I'm the only guy in my section, I doubt my girlfriend would like that idea haha, nor would the boyfriends of the girls. Do they make them wear something over that area?

Women generally wear sportbras during assessment skills practice. Get used to touching (assessing) male and female bodies and seeing their respective bits and pieces as it is a critical part of our career.
When assessments are performed, they are not meant to be carried out in a sexual nature, it's strictly professional both in and out of the nursing school environment.
One's girlfriend or boyfriend has to understand and support their mate's job duties that's all. Maturity is worth its weight in platinum especially in today's market.

I've taught assessment, and we used models, not actual people, for breast, pelvic, testicle, and prostate exams.
It probably varies with the program.

We also used prosthetic breasts for our assessment labs. I doubt any one of my classmates would have allowed a fellow student to palpate her, even if it was a female.

We just covered Assessements in my lab last saturday. We did practice listening for heart and breath sounds on each other, but it was all over clothing. It seemed like the guys paired up with each other and the girls paired up with each other naturally. I'm sure there will be plenty of time to practice the real thing in clinicals.

My school pairs up the guys together automatically for us since they assign us partners. While it would be no big deal either way, it is nice to be partnered up with other guys. As the only male CNA in my facility and one of the 5% of male nursing students, I'm grateful for the comradery of a little testosterone.
