Hi everyone, I am currently taking prereqs for the ADN program at HCC. I am almost done with my associate's so I can do a BSN program as well, but my focus is HCC. I know it's kind of early but are there any HCC fall 2020 future applicants? HCC's deadline is strange lol I have everything completed this Winter, but because the deadline for spring 2020 was August, I'm too late to apply.? It's ok though because things always happen for a reason! I just pray I get in! My ADN PROGRAM grades are as follow:
AP1: B
AP1LAB: A
AP2: C >.> ? NEEED TO RE-TAKE LOL
AP2 LAB: PENDING
MICROBIOLOGY: A
MICRO LAB: A
ENGL 1: A
HUMAN GROWTH: A
Psych: A
I have yet to take the HESI because I'm not done yet BUT my projected completion day will be around January.
I will update in spring 2020 when I am ready to submit the application! ?
Question: Do I HAVE to re-take AP2? I will if I have to though
@nikkib88 when did you submit your application? And when did you get the email? I just submitted mines on Friday so I haven’t received a email about anything just yet.
Maybe I didn’t get one because I submitted my application late Friday maybe around 7 pm. @nikkib88 I’m nervous now. But I did talk to the nursing lady over the applications she said she hasn’t had a lot of applications turned in yet and she said it was still super early.
@Beebee10yea I submitted my application earlier in the day I wouldn't worry about it. I just wanted to know was it this email an unofficial acceptance or just one that everyone gets.
I applied on jan 2 and created a profile for HCC, didnt submit until the 10th with all the documents and got a reply on the 13th or 14 regarding "letter of intent" due the 15... then got an email with a to-do list ... at the same time I read somewhere was a session meeting today the 20th on mlk .. showed up and school was closed... and i couldn't find that msg anymore... this is driving me crazy.
i have several questions... normally you dont go out and get all these test, insurances, BON until you're accepted right ? i'm confused because why spend all this money when we're not sure... orz.
Now that I don’t know. From reading different forums on here it said they make you do a castle branch account before getting accepted. @nikkib88 but we will see.
I think that’s how it goes. I met a lady at work who starting in the program tomorrow. She told me to make sure I had my immunizations done because once they ask you to submit stuff if you don’t have it done they won’t pick you. Maybe they do the official acceptance after everybody who meet requirements submit all that information. I’ll let you know if I get anything. I just submitted Friday. Still submit everything just to be on the safe side. But I have a question did it say the orientation was mandatory? @chubbyBoo
i think so, i went to a session last year in sept. and they signed a piece of paper and kept a record of it.. they said we need to submit it as proof, that we went to one of their info session to be admitted.
7 am lol.... they building doesn't open till 8 and it's MLK and they had signs that Coleman is closed... so I left ... will be giving them a call tomorrow
