Haven't seen a thread yet on this event!
Hi,
I was at the event, and I interviewed for ED. I got a callback for an interview around the ninth, which was today. I believe they interviewed about 8-10 candidates on Friday and today, based on how many time slots there were. I am pretty sure I was the very last interview.
I had heard from others about receiving offers right after being interview, which I didn't; they said they'd get back at me within a day or two.
(I wouldn't at all be surprised if they didn't. I was expecting to be awake and functional at 7 or 8 this morning, but thanks to my sleep disorder, that was when I finally could fall asleep. It was almost time for me to go by the time I did get up, and I did not feel prepared whatsoever. Wouldn't feel bad about my not getting picked based on my strengths or weaknesses as an applicant, but it feels horrible to not be able to be the strongest applicant I can be due to a health condition that cannot be treated or cured.)
Congrats to everyone who received offers!

I know it might be a little late now, but I would follow up on that.
It's possible that, for whatever reason, she forgot to include you accidentally, as it's really strange that she would promise to make such specific plans with you and then ghost. That's different than just saying you'll be in touch.

I agree it's completely strange! Unfortunately, there's no way for me to contact them :( the hiring event didn't have any information on that, so it's safe to say I didn't get a second interview! But I'm hopeful something else is out there for me!

I'm so sorry to hear it didn't go as you planned due to something you can't control! But hey, you got a second interview which means you are definitely high on the list! Don't lose hope! But either way, something is out there for you!

Thank you! I know, I should be quiet and stop whining, haha. Just felt like I had to vent somewhere--this was the first interview I had landed, and honestly probably last until I get my BSN, at least.
If I were you, I would call the hospital line directly and request the operator to speak with the ICU, and see if a manager weren't free. If that seems like too much, though, you could also call and request to speak to "Talent Acquisition" or perhaps HR. I'm not sure how Los Robles is organized, but you ought to find someone who can perhaps reach out to those who were hiring in the ICU.
It's unfortunate that that manager you spoke to didn't even give you her name, much less contact information. I remember that there were a few candidates who were told to wait by ICU after their first interview for a second round of interviews. If you only had one interview, then maybe there was a miscommunication and she was leading you on... 😕 If not, though, then perhaps you're still in the running.

Yeah, keep at it! I don't know if you're in the LA area, but St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood does hiring events every two weeks. Someone in my BSN cohort is currently working med-surg there after going to one of those, and she's liking it so far!
