Is anyone having a problem with jobs in the Orlando area? I have applied to Florida Hospital and Orlando Health with little luck. Everyone wants you to work med-surg which I didn't like when I did it when I was an LPN. Any help would be great.

You should try directly contacting the director of the floor you are interested in. They would be more likely to give you a fair chance than HR who is just there to screen applicants.
Thanks I never thought about that because HR is such a hastle and all they want to do is put me on med-surg.

Maybe you could try getting your foot in the door via med-surg and then transferring asap to a different type of unit. Med-surg is certainly a challenge, but you might decide to just put up with it for a few months in order to brush up on your skills before moving.
