Having trouble in college algebra

am currently a CNA , working on my prerequisite for nursing and I am struggling in college algebra 1 . I don't have a very good teacher , because if one of us asks a question , she makes fun of them a lot of students have dropped out because of this . Since I feel that I can not rely on her for help I have gone to our schools tutoring center , I've also gotten into the habit of studying every night , but even though I'm doing all that I am still failing all our tests . The last test we had I thought I knew everything before I took it but I ended up failing, I think it might be due to anxiety . There is another coming up test tomorrow and even thou I have studied I don't think I'll pass and I kind of gave up on passing this test to be honest. I'm actually starting to getting depressed and think that maybe I'm just too stupid to get this, I studied for 9 hours straight for days and I'll go from completely knowing how to do something to forgetting I'll do practice problems and just from getting a few problems wrong from the textbook sends me into a depression now . I feel like giving up on this test and just saying forget it it's not like I'll pass . I feel so stupid , I'm trying but nothing is working .

My question is do you guys have any tips for on what I can do , have you also experienced feeling like this what should I do so I don't fail.

Do you guys have any studying tips for me, or any ways I can stop being depressed or getting anxiety ?

thank you

If you are doing that poorly, I would withdraw from the class. You don't want a failing grade on your transcript when you go to apply to nursing school. Make an appointment and talk to a professional about the depression and anxiety. See if you can take the class with a different professor next time. Use ratemyprofessors.com for reviews or ask other students. I would check out youtube or Khan Academy in the meantime to find videos that explain the content you don't understand. You can do this! Good luck!

Also, try YouTube and put in the type of problems you want to review. Lots of good teaching videos.

Thank you so much, for the advice I will check out YouTube
