So im a new grad in the OR. My hospital told me that in several weeks they will have us using some program/software from the AORN called "Periop 101"
Apparently its pretty common for OR training.
Was just curious has anyone else used this ? Any thoughts/impressions/comments on it ?

I went through it back in the day when it was paper. I thought it was beneficial, much more so than the "orientation program" that followed when they did away with it. New orientation equaled 12 weeks shuffled from preceptor to preceptor followed by being thrown to the wolves- the facility paid for that snafu by not keeping a single nurse under that program. We've since gone back to periop 101. You can check it out on Association of periOperative Registered Nurses
