Hi everyone
Im posting here because I need some advice. My background is family practice and urgent care.
So have recently lost my family
prac job.
Just feel lost, like drifting without direction? Has anyone felt like this, if so what helped
you decide what to do next in your career. ?
thanks

Hmm...were you "let go," "downsized" or ?
If you were fired, thats a different story.
However, if you left voluntarily, then highlight the skillset that you attained while at the job for X amt of years.
What parts of the job did you like? Do you HAVE to work? As in, "I have to take what comes along." Or do you have time to explore options?
downsized d/t financial issues with the office
I dont "have to work" although what is happening is I think I want family practice again..but not 100% sure.. I see jobs for womens health/rheumatology and I get to thinking should I do that?
I can literally stay at home and not work financially no issues although my self confidence is going down because the longer I am out of family practice (right now urgent care) the longer the resume is without the experience (Family practice which makes me nervous..?
I have an upcoming interview for a family practice job mon-fri 8-5 wiht a 40 minute commute each way
i am in a small town so this maybe a blessing in disguise, plus it is with a company not just a private doc but the commute worries me..
there are opportunities such as womens' health 15 minutes away
Hmm...I would explore specialty practices. Not that $$ is the bottom line but they usually pay more. If commute is concerning, I would certainly look at jobs closer to home.
