Have you checked out YouTube?

Nursing Students CNA/MA

I came across this by accident while searching for CNA skills. Have you tried YouTube?

Go to YouTube and type in "CNA Skill" and various skills pop up. Now, they aren't very long; just a short clip. But I find them interesting.

It is nice to know that there can be some useful things taped these days, I always thought of youtube as goofy videos that my kids laugh about. Thanks for sharing.

I came across this site by accident by typing in "CNA video skills" In fact, before I came across this,I always thought YouTube was "utube". Shows you what I know.

I think the clips on Youtube show real people doing the skills. I like watching the pros on the online video lessons but somehow I get more comfort watching people who are still learning, like me.

Believe it or not, I found you tube very helpful while taking my Anatomy class too, there are a lot of videos on there of teachers and students reviewing landmarks on the models I was using in my class. It was especially good for studying outside of open lab hours. However, some of the videos had errors so have your book next to you in case you need to double check a video for errors.

I love some of the CNA videos though I wish there were some more videos we could watch with more "real world" scenarios rather than seeing procedures almost always done with a "patient" who is able to assist the CNA.

Yeah. I've always wondered about the vest restraint. In real life, do residents/patients sit calmly and allow this to be done? I can't help but think that sometimes it doesn't go so easy.

I watched these videos on YouTube before attending my CNA class and found them very helpful. I could actually relate to what the instructor was saying and I felt ahead of the game. Worth giving it a shot!
