I have a BSN and over 20 years of clinical experience. I have been an Administrative Director for my clinical areas for 7+ years and got an MBA 2 years ago. I've now decided to explore my options for the future and want to consider an MSN. Would I have to complete an entire MSN program or will some of my MBA courses count?
My GPA with my MBA was a 3.9?
Any suggestions?

There will probably be very little that "counts," as most MSN courses are directly related to nursing and not "general education" courses like in undergrad programs. You will never know the exact number of courses you will need to take however, until you investigate particular programs. The content, requirements, and lengths of graduate programs vary significantly. You'll simply have to start looking at them one by one and pick the one that best suits your needs.

My MSN program had no courses/content that were general education, that anyone would have had in any other type of graduate program. The entire program was specific to nursing, most of it to my particular specialty in nursing. It's hard to imagine that any courses from any other type of graduate program would transfer in and count as credits in an MSN program.
However, I would guess that your having previously been successful in doing graduate level academic work would be a plus in getting accepted into a program.

I was originally enrolled in a combo MSN/MBA program and the way they (University of Phoenix) did it was that there were some business nursing courses such as the business of healthcare, how to get the most from your healthcare dollars, healthcare reform. So - you didn't complete two separate programs, but it was longer than the traditional MBA OR MSN.
I must say that I did not complete this program and just went for the MSN because I didn't care for the business aspect.
I suspected that would be the case, but was hoping something may count. It's something I will probably consider later, but right now I am happy with where I am and need to focus on my oldest getting to college.
I appreciate the feedback!
