I just had an interview with UCLA for the New Grad Program. Everything went great! The unit manager actually said she thought I captured the essence of what UCLA was all about. Invited me to tour the hospital the same week.
Toured hospitals, had lots of work related questions to show my interest. In the end, the manager basically told me that she had lots of great qualified candidates to choose from, 4-5 positions open, that I had great qualities, and that she would make a decision by next Thursday.
I'm a little worried I didn't get it. By her statement, would you come up with that conclusion also???? Please advise. It seemed very negative to me.

Well, you were there. If you were reading negativity from her body language and what she said, you are probably right. "Many qualified candidates" is one of the catch phrases for not getting the job. If you were a front runner, I would think that she would have said more to give you this impression. Still, good luck. If you don't land this one, hope you get something else that is just as good an opportunity.
