I dropped off my application in person without an appointment. I don't remember seeing anything on the CA BRN website about scheduling an appointment, have you?
I did the same thing, while travelling from Toronto, Canada to San Francisco, 1962. I'm in VA now, and have done that here, too. The people at both BONs were very nice, and I thought that going there helped speed the process of getting my licenses (both of which were reciprocal).
Now I've been hired by Wellpoint (a division of Blue Cross/Blue Shield that employs Nurses to call clients receiving health care. The object is to ascertain their situation (my expertise is in OB, so 'll call expectant moms). determine their understanding of items essential to having a successful, healthy pregnancy and birth, and reinforce/teach as necessary.
We have to get licensed in many states, to do that and the most difficult one is - you guessed it, CA!

Has anyone visited CA BON in person? do you need to make an appointment with them, or can you just drop in?
