I am applying to an lvn program in baldwin park and they require to take the TABE test. Has anyone taken the test and if so what does it consist of? Is it harder than the TEAS test?

I took the TABE test (not for that school a different one for the LPN program). It had math, spelling, language and reading on it and it is all timed. My main concern was the math, I ended up search youtube for videos helping to refesh me on fractions ( I haven't done them in years). Make sure to wear a watch or sit so you can see the clock. The Math Computation is like 25 questions in 15 minutes and it might be for the spelling. For Spelling, I would see what word they wanted me to spell, then not look at the options, but write it down on a scrap piece of paper. I found looking at all the options had me second guessing myself. Good Luck!!!!
Heres some links I used to help me
This one is the best!!! It has practice exams and then shows you at the end how to do it

The TABE is pretty simple. Its really basic math. Additon, subtraction, fractions and percents. If you passed the NET you will do great.

I took the NET for entrance and took the TABE for WIA approval. If you can pass the NET, the TABE will be a breeze. You can look on www.testpreveiw.com for some sample questions and I just studied it for one night and made a 92. Main thing is Math, Fractions, decimals, percents. The rest is just common knowledge. Good luck, let us know how you do.
