Has anyone taken the nclex the max amount?

Has anyone taken the nclex the max amount of times?? I was wondering if you said yes to this question?? Is it possible to just go to another state and pass there then come back to your original state and practice?? I have taken the boards 3 times and only have one more chance to take it. I did well in nursing school, but it is as if this test is in another language or something??

New Orleans, Louisiana

I know of several nurses that actually ran out of time and passed, and they were form foreign countries.

The NCLEX exam is a national exam, it is not state specific. Doesn't make sense to me to go thru that, but you would need to apply to the new state and start the process from the beginning, and then you would have to apply for endorsement back to the original state, since you would have a license.

But do not think that going to another state will make it easier for you to pass............same exam, it is based on how you answered the questions previously, and then the computer decides what to assign you next.

Yes, you can go to another state and take the exam. I dont think there's a limit in WV.. after you fail twice you jsut have to have proof that you've done some kind of review class, etc. But I know some that have failed twice here in WV and then gone to Pa. Not sure what it all involves.. but you can do it.

so Do you have to show residency in that state where you want to take the nclex or can you live in say louisiana and the drive to miss to take it
