Applied to a sick gig as a trauma ICU RN. Had the interview, but I don't think I did well. I checked the application when I got back home and it said it was declined already, although the application for the current job I have also said I was rejected. I really want this job and planning to reapply starting January once an opening comes up.
That being said, has anyone ever reapplied to the same position? How awkward was it with the hiring manager?
Edit: I had my interview last Monday, although we did have the hurricane that came in Wednesday to Friday.

Since you didn't land the position this time, I think you should take advantage of the connection you made with the manager by interviewing. Send her/him an email and thank them for the opportunity to interview and express your interest in joining their unit in the future. Ask what you can do in the meantime to be a stronger candidate next time around. This will eliminate any awkward radio silence and also help you (hopefully) to nail it next time. You never know, you'll likely get some good input or insight in response! Good luck!
Thank you very much for your response, Marie!
