  1. Froze on a question - I don't think I even answered it. Stumbled and rambled on in others.
  2. I had an interview for CVICU today but performed very poorly. I am bad interviewee, but I think I perform well in the clinical setting and my resume isn't bad. The NM told me to call him if I hadn't heard from a recruiter within two weeks. Is this neutral in nature or do I have some hope?
  3. Dang, I might end up like your friend. I really want to go to the local program here, but I'll throw out apps elsewhere I guess.
  4. What the title says. How many times were you rejected or how many years did it take for you to get in? Currently one year deep into ICU as an MSICU RN, but looking to go to either trauma or CTVICU for 2-3 years. Which brings me to my second topic, which setting would I best prepare me for an anesthesia program? Thanks in advance.
  5. Thank you very much for your response, Marie!
  6. Applied to a sick gig as a trauma ICU RN. Had the interview, but I don't think I did well. I checked the application when I got back home and it said it was declined already, although the application for the current job I have also said I was rejected. I really want this job and planning to reapply starting January once an opening comes up. That being said, has anyone ever reapplied to the same position? How awkward was it with the hiring manager? Edit: I had my interview last Monday, although we did have the hurricane that came in Wednesday to Friday.
  7. I just passed today. Exactly what the previous poster said I only got one question on murmurs. It asked me where it was located.
  8. Passed the test today, but holy crap. Like CCRNdude said, difficult but doable.
  9. And I know Vonfrolio has been proven to be helpful time and time again, but how does/did she know what questions are on the test? Just curious.
  10. How hard did you guys think it was?
  11. Thank you. I love you all.
  12. Just checking to see if the Pass CCRN or Vonfrolio's review are still relevant to the questions on the CCRN. Thanks in advance.
  13. HR does screen the apps and they were forwarded to her. My buddy was able to maintain contact with her very easily via email and had no problem scheduling the interview. It seems like a luck of the draw kind of deal, but I don't want to sit idle when I could possibly score a job there.
  14. I heard that she's someone you have to stay on top of. I'm just really anxious about being able to score an interview with her.
  15. I read elsewhere on the forum that trying to show up on the unit to meet the manager was considered rude. My buddy who took the last position was able to schedule an interview almost instantly with her. I really want this position but I'm at the point where I feel like I'm annoying her.
