So I applied for regular admission to MCG-CHSU for regular admissions but my status still says ready for review. I just wanted to see if people were getting letters or still waiting like me. Thanks!!
Since decisions probably won't be finished until the end of May and since we're halfway through, I'm guessing half of the seats are still available, making it about 50 seats left. For every person accepted, however, 3 or 4 are denied. We'll say that about 175 people have been denied already, which could tell us something about where we're placed. Hey, we're not at the very bottom. 400 (total applicants, which can be used for any college) - 50 (who got accepted) = 350 - 175 (applicants denied for ones accepted) = 175 applicants left to be considered. 50/175= 2/7. This means that for every 2 people accepted 7 will be denied or for every 1 person 3 or 4 will be denied. If they plan to finish making decisions by the end of March, however, they'll probably be reviewing 25-50 people each week or make about 10 decisions each day starting in February. If you get bad news you can probably figure out your place-range. The later the letter arrives the harder it shows it was to make the decision and so getting an acceptance letter towards the end may be showing how close you are in numbers 1-100. Anybody who gets a letter this month or next month and it's a rejection letter are placed 101-275. If you do it by days, then you can add 25-50 each week starting from 100 until the rejection letter arrives, that is, to find your range. However, this might be inaccurate because it could also mean that you were close for making the final spots if you're at the end. Better to get a late denial than an early one. Middle range rejection letters are easier to find placements. I think I'm a middle letter, which is frustrating because it feels like 50/50. However, it just means that I placed around 101-175 or 180 (took off 20 students because the decision was made on Wednesday), which would really bite because maybe I would have been accepted if they took 150 students. I think I will puke. If I divide it by half, it puts me at a range of 101-138 because I'm exactly in the middle of both months, and if I take off 20 people, I'm at 108. I'm going back and hoping for 50/50.
Godawgsmh, don't give up hope just yet! You probably still have a good chance. It sounds like you are more than qualified. My decision could go either way, but I am hoping for the best. Who knows how they are making decisions this year? Just keep your chin up & I will keep you in my thoughts & prayers for you to hear something soon.

I would just like to know one way or the other. One would think that if they were going to reject you, they would just go ahead and do it early on. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but I'm not the one making the decisions! Again, good luck to all who are waiting.
BaByCarrots - good luck to you! Can't wait until you open that letter and let us know what's going on!
