Published

I wonder if any one has heard from the program i cant remember if their letters where suppose to come out in March or April. I want to apply to some scholarships as early as possible if get in.

I would appreciate any information on this school thanks.

Still waiting to hear on Massasoit as well. Hopefully this week.

Just an FYI

A friend of mine just emailed me at work to let me know she just received her acceptance to the day program. So we should start seeing letters. So excited and nervous now. Good luck to everyone.

It's about time!!! I've been stalking my mailbox. ahhhh i'm so nervous, good luck everyone!! Let us know how you all make it!!

Just got letter today. Waiting list for now.

Waiting list is not bad. They only put about 20 people on it and most end up accepted.

Got in as well. Does anyone know if a deposit is due? Also, when the registration is over the summer?

Waiting list for now. Kind of surprised with my GPA, TEAS score, and all the extras. It is the only school that wait listed me. Everywhere else accepted me. But I guess I can look at is as they made my decision for me. I know they only take about 20 or so people on the wait list and many get in because some people choose other schools. Unfortunately for me, the other program I really wanted starts sooner than Massasoit, so I can't wait to see if they contact me by the last week of September.

Everything happens for a reason. Good luck to everyone that got in to Massasoit and to those of you on the wait list. I am sure most of you that are on the wait list will get in - unless you decide to go somewhere else.

Also waitlisted...and dumbfounded like Jennco21. I'll spare you my list of qualifying factors. Just glad I got into the other school I applied to and now I don't have a difficult decision to make. Good luck everybody:)

Sorry - not trying to list my qualifications. I think I was just trying to to work out what I didn't do that would have made the difference.

Every school is different so what works for one doesn't necessarily work for another.

Any way - good luck again to everyone. I am sure everyone will end up where they are supposed to be in the end.

My comment definitely wasn't directed at you Jennco21...I was tempted to list my own specific gpa etc lol:) I was pretty upset and surprised but I'm over it. Good luck!

Hey Jennco my wife just received a letter than she was on the waiting list. She is pretty upset after having high hopes of getting in.

How do you know they only put about 20 people on the waiting list? I mean doesn't everybody get put on the waiting list or are there actually rejection letters? What are the odds she gets accepted and about what is the time frame?

I am obviously trying to make her feel better so I have to ask.

Thanks!

1st - I knew the GPA comment wasn't directed at me. I just realized it may have sounded wrong when I re-read it.

2nd - at the information session I went to - we all asked a ton of questions. They told us they only put 20 people on the waiting list and many people end up accepted because others that were accepted choose other schools. They also said the waiting list is only good for that year. They do that so they can have people ready in case they need to fill the program. They want people to get their shots, etc. in case they get accepted so they are ready for clinical. The downside is - they can call you anytime up until the last week of classes. If people don't tell them they are declining then they won't know until then. So they had said to be ready if you are wait listed in case. So it is not a terrible thing to be wait listed. But I share your wife's feelings. It stinks for anyone that worked hard to get in and doesn't. And it doesn't matter if you get in other schools you still wonder what you could have done that you didn't. Honestly - I think that when you make it to the point of being accepted or wait listed there is not much difference in the candidates at that point and it probably comes down to how well the admissions and nursing staff related to you through your essay.

Tell your wife good luck. I am going to ask to be removed from the waiting list because I will go to another program. So that is one person down and makes the pool smaller for everyone else waiting.

Have a good day everyone.
