Hi All,
This is my first post, and I wanted to reach out and get some advice and any information you all can share with me. I passed the NCLEX last month, but I was told by the Illinois Dept. of Professional Regulation that my license would be delayed due to something in my background popped out.
I'm ashamed to say I got a DUI 8 years ago, and the IDPR wanted me to get official court documents and a personal statement letter describing the incident and if the matter was resolved and the positive outcomes what I learned from the experience. I went to the courthouse and paid for the court dispositions and wrote a personal statement letter, and sent it in last week.
Will this be sufficient? Has anyone not received their license due to something like this or any misdemeanor that doesn't involve violence or sex crime?
I'm pretty worried to be honest. I made a mistake and I think I atoned for it, and just want to be able to work in the vocation I chose to be in and enjoy doing. Any advice would be great.

Congrats on passing nclex! I got a dui 2 years ago I'm active nurse I was given just a fine and citation for conduct . From I gathered if there was car accidents children or a high bac level greater than double legal limit sometimes you'll get probation
Thank you! I had to do the court appointed alcohol classes and pay a huge fine, but thank God no accident and no one was hurt. I appreciate the feedback.
