Has anyone gone to school with a new baby?

I have a 7 month old. I work full time and I am taking pre-reqs starting in the summer for nursing school.

Has anyone worked full time and taken classes with a baby?

Also, has anyone gone through nursing school with a toddler?

Any advice?

I had my son on my winter break from community college. Classes started a week after he was born. I did online classes that first semester (prereqs) and went back to work full-time when he was 2 months old. When he was 1, I began nursing school and finished when he was three. I worked full-time throughout school. So, it is definitely possible. Are you going to have to make some sacrifices? Definitely. Less sleep, less time for yourself, you may have to get a babysitter every once in awhile to study, but it is definitely doable. You just need the driv to learn and a good support system to help you with the baby.

i'd suggest leaving them home when you go to class. kids can be pretty disruptive.

i have 6 (17,14,7,5,4 and 2 months) children full time job and full time school..it can be done..

your an animal. man all mighty its hard enough finding time to sleep.

I have two kids and when I started nursing classes they ages were 18 months and 3 months old and I have gone through school with a 3.0 average. Now they are almost 2 and 3 years old and I will graduate in May; although I must say that I do not work and I do go to school full time, but I do have a good support system at home; even with that it does get hard at times, but it CAN be done! Good Luck.
