  1. I agree with the others go for it!!
  2. I can totally relate to how everyone feels after they take the NCLEX because now I can relate....The computer shut off at 85 questions and I was sooo nervous after reading some of the stories on here but I guess the only thing I can do now is wait patiently.
  3. I have two kids and when I started nursing classes they ages were 18 months and 3 months old and I have gone through school with a 3.0 average. Now they are almost 2 and 3 years old and I will graduate in May; although I must say that I do not work and I do go to school full time, but I do have a good support system at home; even with that it does get hard at times, but it CAN be done! Good Luck.
  4. Hikernurse is right I use Math for Nurses and it helped me out a lot with the calculations and it was especially helpful for me when it came down to doing conversions
  5. I agree that these are some good rules. I would also like to add: 18) Don't ask other students to ask a question you want to know the answer to because 9/10 we don't care about the 'question you want to know the answer to.
  6. Erenteria I am a nursing student as well and I never have felt that any of the more experienced nurses were out to purposely mistreat me or anything. I think you will be fine just ask questions when you are unsure. Good luck!
  7. I have noticed this relationship as well. I think it may be because both nurses and cops both have shift work we understand their schedule and they understand ours. so it kinda works out for both sides and it makes dating a whole lot easier.
  8. If you live in the Chicago area like I said before in an earlier post. the only lpn schools in the Chicago area are at Dawson Tech and South Suburban. I currently attend Dawson and it is a pretty good school. It seems like all the lpn's I have encountered lately have come from Dawson. I personally feel like they have a pretty good program. I also have an uncle that goes to South Suburban and he likes it as well. If you live in the area I feel that you can't go wrong with either choice.:blushkiss
  9. Dawson Tech and South Suburban College also have 1 year LPN programs as well
