Has anyone ever worked for VA hospital?

Nurses Career Support

Hello, I was considering applying to a VA hospital, has anyone ever worked at one? How does it differ from other hospital setting? How was management? Anything else you'd care to share? Thank you for your time :)

Anyone experienced getting a cna "health tech" job from volunteering?

Specializes in ICU.

I absolutely love the VA- its what you make of it. Do your best for the vets- you don't have to be mediocre just bc other people do! I take care of my patients the same as I would my family or anyone on the outside. Being a professional is being respectful and working to your potential for the benefit of those you are caring for. The VA is wonderful - yes you have pros and cons like anywhere- but overall it is a great place for staff and vets!!

hi any idea about VA LTC nurse interview questions

need help to prepare for LTC nurse ph interview i have no hospital experience, what kind of medication related question they ask

How is the probationary period at the VA? How easy is it to get fired? I have some bad experience as a new grad. It was extremely rewarding to care for patients and learning was great until I was assigned to a new preceptor who didn't like me. Any information is helpful. Thank you so much
