I want to know if anyone has completed a program in First Aid after nursing. Which certification did you get? I am working ask a nurse in Canada. I am looking for options abroad. I am thinking of getting a first aid certification from an institution here https://www.rescue7.net/training/first-aid-training/. Is this certification accepted in other countries? I would like to know which are the other certifications which are accepted in most countries.

Why would you want a first aid card after earning a nursing license?

I had an AL require it. Why? Don't know, except IN requires it in AL regardless of if nurse or CNA. Supposedly. Never did find the regs on this, but quit this place so no longer care. New facility has AL component and have never had to present 1st aid card. In fact they gave a big "?"to that as well

Usually, you would get it beforehand. Not much need for it afterwards as you are taught many of these things in nursing school. First Aid is for the lay person who has no formal medical training on how to stabilize a person until a trained medical person arrives. A nurse falls into the trained medical person as we know how to stop bleeding and how to immobilize a body part.
It's kind of like CPR. There are varying levels of it depending on your profession and even specialty.
If you are looking into coming to the US, it's not necessary.
I want to migrate to Australia and I am planning to work as a first aid trainer or a safety engineer. Most of the institutions ask for a first aid training certificate and for safety enginneers NEBOSH or IOSH is required. For now, I want to know if the above certification will be valid in Australia.
