Hi I am in the same boat. My start day is Sept but got a call where I can start the nursing program in May. I want to start in May but afraid I will be forced to quit my full time, day time job. I am in the process of finding a part time flexible job while I finish the program.
I had to go part time. I'm also a CNA. I was afraid i wouldn't make it financially off of a part time job. But pray honey. U should try it. Let me know how it goes. If u do decide to attend. I'll look forward to meeting u.
Thanks I'm praying hard about it. Hopefully Ill speak with the lady about my options today. I have 2 kids and they will be out for the summer soon. And hopefully my job will let me take off for a couple of hours but that will eat my annual hours so hopefully things will work out for me. Yes I been afraid of losing full time and my Health I,surance but looking into other options. Hope we can meet too. I'm ready to start because I don't want to have to wait no more. I been working towards a nursing degree for a least 3 years now on and off part time to care for me kids
Are you starting the nursing program May 1st or do you have to take your Biology classes first then start nursing classes?
I have to take my biology classes first. Ugh.. And yes i start May 1st. Orientation is Thursday from 8am-10am. I have a son and I'm praying i dnt have any distractions. I've been working doubles to get money saved up. I have to drive 1hr and 30 mins. And right now I'll be going mondays and Wednesdays. So it shouldn't be so hard at first.
Oh okay. Not to bad. I have to drive 35 mins away. Sound like a easy schedule for you right now. If you have to stay up late to study or take your son to the park while you study. I have done that before it seem to help out some.
Thanks any information is helpful.
You're Welcome
Hi Tasha, How was your first day?
I can tell its going to be a looong journey. But for the most part.. The staff is very supportive. They want to help you. A&P seems kinda iffy but we'll see.
Oh okay well thats good they are supportive. Wishing you well. I wish I could have found a part time job in time before May 1st.
