Harcum is a nice program
I hope you applied and are in the program now
i'm applying now, very hopeful
Harcum has a nice program, good clinical instructors. It is a lot of work, but worth it. And expensive, but the only thing cheaper is DCCC and that you can't get into.
Thanks for info

former, breeze, need to study for nclex on your own
Good to know. I'm taking all the general ed courses now at CCP, so if accepted to Harcum day program, all I have to take are the nursing courses.

I'm in harcum ASN. Fantastic program. My point of view of course. What do ya wanna know?
I'm curently finishing up the other courses at CCP. Hopefully if I get in I'll just have the nursing courses to complete in day program. What I want to know is do you feel like they are preparing you for nclex? How do you like your clinical site? Was it hard for you to get in?
What you need to remember is that any nursing program you enter,
If you don't understant something, don't say the teacher can't
teach, you need to question things till you understand,
that is what learning is.
I know the instructors at Harcum, they are great, they all teach
differently. And that is a good thing, because we all learn
differently.
At this stage of the game you have developed your studying and
learning skills. Make the most out of it.
I learn by doing, so I worked in a hospital during school.
I watched other nurses and found many wonderful role models.
And even now after all these years I am still questioning and
learning.
Work hard and study. Don't think nursing is easy. Ask any nurse
evey day is different and a challange, which is what it should be.
It is important to check out the different programs out there.
But the decision has to be your own. Visit the school, talk with the
faculty.
Call Angela Carboni (assist. to Director of Nursing) 610-525-4100 ext-6123
she will answer all of your questions
or even email Ms Carboni (this woman knows everything) [email protected]
Thanks for the advice. I have talked to Ms. Carboni and she is the one to talk to LOL. She's been very helpful. I am also applying to Jefferson. But it's something about Harcum that I like. I'll just have to see where I end up getting in. Thanks again.
Thanks for the advice. I have talked to Ms Carboni, she was very helpful. I hope I get into Harcum's program. I am also applying to Jeffereson, but Harcum's my first choice.
