howdy!!! has anyone applied to the philips beth israel school of nursing in new york? have you received a letter of acceptance or denial. any special circumstance you may have had during the process? anything at all that anyone of us can learn from? so greatly appreciated.:idea:

I've never applied there, but attended and graduated from their sister school, Long Island College Hospital School of Nursing. We share the same Dean. I've heard the school is excellent. I would stick to it if I were you. Call them if you've been waiting long for a response.

Hahaha! You again! I didn't get a acceptance letter but I did get a call for an interview next Tues. But I still haven't sent in my last recommendation letter, so I don't what that means. But I hope I do well wish me luck! Good luck to you as well, I am sure you'll get a call as soon as you get your NLN results.

I was going to apply to them but I can't really hack a full day schedule at this time. I'm going to get some more pre-reqs out of the way and try again next year. Does anyone know the hours if you do the three-year program?

I applied to BI and LICHSON. I took the NLN exam on March 4 and do not have my results yet.

Feenie - when did you do the exam? and how long did it take to get results? Do you know what percentiles they look at in the exam?

NYAUSSIE..I took the PreNursing exam at Beth ISrael..And they sent the scores after about a week and a Half.I believe that they require an overall score in the 55th percentile..but prefer one in the 65th percentile.

Feenie??? are you serious? I did'nt receieve a call yet.Does that mean I wont't get accepted????? What was your over all composite score?

I believe Beth Israel is looking for minimum 55 score on each individual section of the NLN, that is not to be confused with the percentile score under AD.

larosiliere29, I am waiting to hear from BI as well. I called them and emailed them. They told me the committee meets in one or two weeks this week. How did you score on the NLN? You can private message me if you wish. I had a 85 percentile score and composite of 124, I did poorly in math and very good on the science and verbal sections.
