I quit my hospital job at the end of January this year due to my hospital not wanting to train me in a different department. I then tried hospice in February for a few months, but was not for me so I quit in June. My husband had been gone for 4 months so I decided that I would take time off and spend time with him and family. My hope was for one month off, and would be applying for new jobs in the meantime. Well life happens I found out I was pregnant July 6th (first time baby) and we had made a few plans for the first two weeks of July. Unfortunately in August my MIL ended up being sick and was in the hospital for a month, I flew out to be with my husband and give him support (he is the only child) With a heavy heart I write that my MIL ended up passing away. We were then busy having to clear out the home she was renting, planning a funeral etc. It is now end of Sept (almost October) My husband and I agree that I would benefit from going back to work to keep myself busy and for financial reasons. I have been appyling and finally got two call backs for an outpatient surgery center and a wellness clinic. I feel guilty for not telling them I am 4 months pregnant but I know I won't get hired. I would only have a few months to work since I am due in June. I considered staying home but my husband will be leaving soon for a few months ( just in time for the birth) and I need to be active to keep my mind off of things and also the financial aspect. I also thought about doing one travel assignment but that might be to stressful for my baby. Any suggestions??? Has anyone started a new job while being in their 2nd trimester??? Thank you HALP

At my last job, they hired a new clinician (social worker, not a nurse) when she was visibly pregnant. It caused some chuckles around the office, because it was clear she was going to go on maternity leave as soon as she finished orientation, but it worked out fine! She left on maternity leave and came back as planned. So, I mean, it is possible!
