I wanted to know how hard it is to get into the program? whats the gpa they are looking for i know its 3.0 but what has everyone get accepted into? Please i need some feedback....
My GPA was a 3.4 from Stony Brook. I have no hospital or nursing experience. I had one of year of "experience" as a Pediatric Medical Assistant in 2010. I was a research assistant at Stony Brook for a semester in a women's health lab but it was more data entry than research. I have been a teacher in NYC for the past few years.
Some words are very easy and some are very hard. There is a wide range because it is meant to test your reading "level." The first part is definition and the second part is reading comprehension. I guess you could say that the hard words are your typical SAT words? I don't remember i took it so long ago.

It is rolling admission and they take students until the program is full. I don't think the school is unorganized I just think that because it is rolling admissions there is no definite answer to when you will be notified of anything. I was actually very pleased with the people I spoke to and emailed. The school has a good reputation for nursing. If you ask doctors/nurses on long island they will most likely say good things about Molloy.
I believe you need a 3.3 for the DDP. They send invitations for the testing and interviews depending on when you applied. I applied at the end of February for the DDP. I took the Nelson Denny and Math test on Mar 7th and interviewed the following Friday. Last I heard they are still waiting for one of my official transcripts which is taking a long time to be processed. The interview was very brief and informal and I would not worry about it too much. The test, however, is important and you need to do very well on it. I think you need an almost perfect score on the math and a 14 on the Nelson Denny. I was worried because I went in cold and I didn't know anything about it. I thought I didn't do well but then I found out I got a 17 which is the highest you can get. Just remember it is timed and you need to work quickly. The time constrictions are what threw me off.
Does anyone know if Molloy offers scholarships for second degree nurses?
