Hello All of my future nurses,

I am applying to a program this year.I have been looking at gaston and mercy and cpcc,which are located in charlotte.Has anyone got accpeted into them this year for the fall 2014 RN program?? What were your scores for the teas and your grades like?

I also am taking my teas and very scared.Is this ATI teas testing book good? I just ordered it today and I take the test on saturday 9/27/14.I know you are thinking woooooaaa thats not enough tme,but I studied the McGraw hill edition 2 weeks ago.All I need is help on my math and some sentencing corrections. The first time I took the teas I failed with a 50 because I only studied 2 hours ..ooopps

Thanks and be BLESSED!!!!!!!!!

I heard through the grape vine than Mercy is not accepting any more cohorts and will be closing after their current cohort graduates.

I hope that is not true but then again it could be.I heard they want very high teas and only accept the second grade from a class if you retook it,

I heard the same about Mercy and last I heard Queens was on probation, but I haven't looked into for awhile. I graduated from Gaston's LPN program in 2012. It was tough & we lost half our class before graduation. I know numerous people who are trying to get into gastons LPN-RN bridge program or the ADN program, but they've had a larger number of applicants, so I'm sure they'll be pickier this time around. I haven't applied yet because I've had some issues at home that need to be settled before I can't handle nursing school again. Good luck!!!

@garnetgirl29 wow,and that's really cool.I actually did not have a high enough teas so I am taking it again and the ACT for the LPN program and for other schools as well.I think it will get much harder after this year for more schools because their requirements are changing.I assume it is difficult and I heard people do drop out.i pray that does not happen to me.And congrats and I wish you the best with your endeavors

Thank you. I couldn't have done it without my fiancee. I stopped working when I went to school. It was rough and we nearly lost our house, but I really don't think I could have made it if I had worked during the program. A few of my classmates worked and made it, but I don't know how. We did have a few people drop out, but a lot failed out during the 2nd semester. When I applied, it was the last year that they accepted the ACT rather than the teas(unless that has changed again), so I didn't have to take the teas. I've heard it's very hard, but they do have teas prep classes that I will definitely take before applying to the bridge program.

@garnetgirl29

well this year is the last year for the ACT so im going to take it and see how it goes.I can take the teas again but it just sucks to keep looking at a horrible score every time.The science part is killing me and I cant seem to finish the math in time to get a good score.I have everything for the RN program and i can not apply at gaston because of my score. I have to look at the LPN at gaston and RN at other places.It really discouraged me.Nursing is my passion and fire,but because of a test I can not show it.
