i lived in the harrisburg area for more than 25 years.
it is a beautiful place to live & work,salaries are evry competive ,and places to work are varied greatly
there are lots of cultural places to go.
harrisburg ,being the capital of pa
what a wonderful place to work,live,play,raise a family
i hope to soon move back to that area myself & my family

Hi! I live in York which is about 30min. from Harrisburg. I would guess that the average salary for RN's is in the $30-$40,000 range, not sure about LPN's. I would also agree that it is a good area to raise a family. Can vouch that Harrisburg suburbs are pretty nice.
Didn't like the city that much (would visit there regularly in my previous job). Very few folks go to the city in the evening / night. Many feel it's unsafe. Not unlike many other older, larger cities.
