Theres another thread in the general nursing student section but I thought putting it here will help with the conversation. HR interviews were last week and I was wondering if anyone gotten an email from them for the second round yet? I want to email and ask since its already Thursday but I don't want to look needy.

thank you for posting in here! I have not received any follow up yet, and neither have my classmates. Apparently, it should be by tomorrow, although my interviewers suggested midweek. I suppose we'll see tomorrow! :) What is your preference of specialty?

Medsurg, its a good place to learn the basics. I feel like I'm too clumsy for the ER and apparently they said theres a lot of competition there? I'm from out of town so I figured my chances there were pretty slim anyways. What about you?

Oh, okay, cool. Yeah, ER is a different type of vetting process....to make sure we're tough enough. haha I put critical care as my preference, but we'll see how that all pans out. Well, good luck! I'll post if I hear anything.

Oh that was what I wanted :( I heard they'll email as the week goes on. Someone else got an email form IMU. Have you emailed them? I sent one just to check I hope it doesn't come off in a bad way.

Yeah, I don't know. So two classmates heard back for ER, one for women's services, and another for medsurg...all on Friday last week. I haven't tried to email them. I'm trying to stay calm and be optimistic that if they don't contact me, its not meant to be. I think I kinda ruined it by being straightforward in saying that I wanted NICU. IDK why I even mentioned it. -_- Kinda talked myself out of a job, it seems. Bleh. Good luck to you, though! I hope they respond to your email with good news!

They havent, but I got a call from Memorial Hermann so I got that going for me lol. They haven't responded to me yet. You might still have a chance if you put something else as a second choice :D

I just had my fellowship interview today and my internship one on Friday for I think northwest. They said they only had 8 positions so I'm kind of bummed. I want it really bad but I heard they pick people in the area before they go to other options.

Ive heard the same. I go to school in east texas so ive yet to get a call back from any houston area hospitals. I applied for their internship at every location plus Houston Methodist internships so i am just going to keep my fingers crossed!

have you tried memorial hermann's fellowship? I heard its a good way to get your foot in the door with houston.
