Hi! I've been following this thread for a little. I just saw that accelerated received a grant? I know in the open house they were talking about one but I think it was for fall students. They said they would find out if they received the grant by June but I'm wondering if they found out sooner

From what I was told accelerated was told first because they were behind and documents are due soon, in order for those students to prepare for upcoming deadlines they were told. I also wanted to help with some of the anxiety for some, not sure if this will help. I applied with 13pts. GPA of 3.48. I got a 73 on my TEAS test, I also picked accelerated as my first choice and traditional as my second. If you got over 13pts I would think you are 100% in if you aren't I would be calling for sure. Good Luck to everyone with the traditional program. I know the wait is a killer!

I wish they could just tell us already! Lol I'm more frustrated than anything right now. Trying hard to be patient though. Hopefully it will be sooner than later. Congrats to everyone in the accelerated program! í ½í¸Š

I can 100 percent understand the frustration, I am sorry they haven't sent anything or even changed your major yet!!! For everyone in the accelerated though the books are out for purchase!

Oh wow! Has your major changed? Also, for accelerated people.. There is the CPR course we need at the abingdon fire department on the 28th. You don't have to register, just have to show up at 9am and have 20.00 cash.

Hi guys! Just now seeing this thread. I have this strange feeling we're gonna be getting something in the mail tomorrow. I hope this hunch is correct! I applied only for the traditional, not the accelerated.

True. Not sure what seems to be the hold up? I feel like previous semesters found out much sooner.

Right, I was thinking the couple snow days and the grant they were hoping for caused the delays. It would be nice if they changed the majors when sending out the letters. All we can do is wait I guess, trying to let it go and be patient because now I'm annoyed waiting for an update.

Me too. It's not like they're going off of other qualifications besides our numbers. I mean, there's no letters of recommendation or essays to read. You would think they would input all of this into a computer and sort by points. It just doesn't seem like it should take this long. My mail just came and there wasn't anything, so at this point I'm gonna just assume that we won't find out for another solid week. They are moving at a snail's pace.

That's exactly what I said! That's literally all they do. They organize it by who has the most points. She said they put everyone's info on an excel sheet and pick from there. Not sure why that takes two months.
