I'm a first semester nursing student in allegany county, so this is looking pretty far ahead, but I was wondering how hard it is to get hired at Johns Hopkins, especially holding only an associate's degree. I lived in the area for awhile while I went to Towson and really liked it down there. I also fell in love with the hospital when I had to go there for a stress test. My college has a collaborative RN to BSN program with UMD, which I plan on completeing immediately after graduation. Would it benefit to wait until I have a BSN or will they hire a nurse with an ASN just as easily?

I know someone who got hired there about a year and a half ago after graduating for HCCC with an ADN. I will be graduating with the same in May and hope to get and offer there too!

I have heard that you should be hirable with an ADN. They (JHH) have really awesome cont. ed and tuition reimbursement for employees.
Good luck!

Not so great with pay rate from what I hear, though.
