Hello freinds, today i am happy:yes: but very nervous too:down:..M happy because i got thejob AND nervous because its RN SUPERVISOR JOB at home visit. I will go to patients's home and will assess him/her...then according to need , comapny will provide health care aid to patient. company's person told me that i ll help them to decide which health care aide will be good for patient and i will explain evrything to health aide... I am quite nervous because i m feeling like i am underqualified for this position, but still i accepted because VERY HARDELY i get this job so i grabed it.

hey anybody who familiar with this job position please share your opinion with me please. I am not sure about pay , is it per visit?. she just told me, i ll get monthly. If anybody knows , how many visit usually rn do at home.. . please tell me ,who experinced in this position , how it is? what is your satisfaction level? i am worry because i am not directly involving in patient's medication , little procedues, education etc.it seems to me like m not going to use my medical knowlege like patients's disease condition. Its just assessment ,how my knowledge will expand in medicine, disese, etc etc,..

i tried my best to make my topic more understandable. yours suggestion are very very important for me.

Congrats on a new job. I hope they fill you in on yr pay and work out the other kinks! Is this yr first job out of school?

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

Moved to the Home Health nursing forum to elicit further response. How much nursing experience do you have? I know you have previously stated that you do not have any US nursing experience and have relatively recently been licensed in the US. The home health nursing forum is relatively active so hopefully you can get some input from some of the RN case managers/supervisors there.

thanks freinds, yes justbeachynurse , you are right, i dont have any usa experience. this is my first job after being rn here. i am still waiting for satisfactory answer that can answer my all inquiries. thanks .

It sounds like you are working for a home agency that provides "unskilled" nursing care and are directed to identify the need and then assign an aide while creating a nursing POC for the patient?

Nursing aides work under the direct supervision of an RN here, their educational requirements will vary dependent upon the state you live in and the company you work for. You will be directly responsible for the care they provide, sounds like.

I will be interested in hearing more about this position as you move forward, good luck.

quick question, how many visit usually agency give you monthly,, is it happens that anyone dont have enough visit or having very less visit in month? then what would be earning?,,i am asking beacuse i got hired by agency. they gave me one visit on d next day of my hiring..but on the visiting date they cancel the visit due to patient's timing. i am just wondering when they will give me next visit. i am in afraid that may be they dont give me any more visit or just give me very less visit /month and i am free all others days...if my income is on per visit then it ll be very less. o god , . plaese freinds respond..thanks alot.

I have a job similar to what you are referring. I take intake calls/inquiries for people looking for an aide to assist with personal cares or companionship. That is only maybe 10% of my job. I also do home health RN visits and have caseload of about 15 people I care manage (coordinate their healthcare - they pay privately for this.) I also supervise about 20 caregivers and handle any issues. I am hourly and there is always lots to do - I work plenty of overtime. I am also on call every other week and get paid for this.

You'll have to find out how the pay structure works and how many inquiries they have for people needing help. I wouldn't accept pay per visit because a lot of times those referrals fizzle out.

Good luck!

hey turningred15,,, i have alots of questions, as you are also at same position as i am, can i email you,,,my email adress is [email protected]. my private mesage box is full.
