Hello. I am also a new grad. Well since I passes my boards, I guess that I am a new RN. I went to a few interviews on the units. One type had three nurses from that unit asking me questions about why I wanted to work there, fitting in and experience type stuff. The other type had managers and a couple of staff RN's. It is generally calmer and easier to talk with the staff nureses. Feel them out just like you do any other interviewer, because they deside who they want to work with. Friendly and professional always works!!!!!!!!
:welcome:
So they don't ask you particululars re medical knowledge...just how you would fit in and why you want to work on the unit?

I was asked situational questions..but more about coworkers than med knowlege. (if I had conflict with another nurse...how would I handle it etc..)
I was also asked about my goals, and where I wanted to be in 5 years. Most places dont want to be a "stepping stone" for a new nurse. They want you to want to be there. THey don't want to pay to train you just to have you leave after your one year of exp.
Good luck!
