i was wondering if hackensack hires nurses with only assoicates degrees? i heard people say they only accept bsn now, but i wanted to know. what are the chances of getting hired with a rn? how about if you are an employee?

They hire with associates from what I hear. As a new grad though, either way may be difficult right now? Where in NJ are you from. i applied there as a new grad, but started out in the St barnabas Healthcare System
so even if i work there right now wouldn't make a big difference as to being hired?

I was offered a job there in 2005. At that time, they told me they were only hiring BSN nurses. However, I have been hearing that all hospitals were hiring only BSN nurses for several years and that has yet to happen.

There are openings at most of the hospitals around north Jersey, but there are also a lot of nurses looking for work. These hospitals receive hundreds of applications for each position. Your experience should be very helpful.
