Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi, I've been accepted to Gwynedd Mercy University's Nursing program for the Fall of 2017. As well I am a transfer student from the Community College of Philadelphia. I just wanted to know if anyone else has been accepted to Gwynedd Mercy's BSN program. I also wanted to know if there are former students from GMercyU BSN program if you could tell me about your experience. I am super excited about attending in the Fall and just would like more information about what to expect.

Hello im a student at Community College of Philadelphia as well, and I was wondering if you can tell me what classes they accepted just so I won't waste my time I'm looking to transfer next fall 2019 of course

Hello, which courses have you taken already? Typically your advisor should be able to tell you which classes are transferable. A lot of students come from CCPso I'm sure there is a lot of classes they accept. Be ready for a challenge when you come to Gwynedd and they are a bit unorganized at times but you learn a lot.

Hello thanks for responded back so far I have taken half of my science courses statistics, psychology 101 and 215 and sociology. Do you know if the program is 2 years or 3 years if you don't mind me asking

Hello I was wondering if possible can you please reach out to me regarding questions that I have??? I'm currently a student at Community College in Philadelphia and I noticed that you were one as well in the past before attending Gwynedd Mercy and that's the college I'm also looking forward to attend so if you please can reach out to me I will greatly appreciate it. 2673349535

Hello All,

I've just been accepted to Gwynedd Mercy Nursing program starting Fall 2018 as a transfer student from Community College of Philadelphia and wanted some incite on what to expect when entering this program... It would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hello, I'm a current nursing student at GMU. I enjoy attending GMU. I'll tell you somethings that surprised me. Be ready to purchase a background package that's $200. Don't worry about purchasing any books from the book store for Nurs212 I purchased mines off of chegg. The pocket companion was really helpful for lab and practicums. Make sure you're Persistent with financial aid that's what I hate about the school. Overall it's a good experience.

Hey do u mind telling me your gpa when you applied??

3.3 62 credits. They accepted every credit from ccp!

Hey, I'm a senior at Gwynedd and I don't recommend buying any of the books except the med surg books. None of the books were helpful, I studied completely from the PowerPoints and doing questions. DO QUESTIONS and don't miss lecture. Junior year is the hardest year, so be prepared to study and focus on nursing school. It's definitely do able.

My gpa was a 2.91 when I transferred so don't worry about your gpa. As long as your sciences have a C+ or higher, you should be fine.

Can you tell me how should I approach junior year! Is it anything I could do during my break that will help me prepare for it? Do you recommend working?

Adapt really good studying habits for medsurg and for maternity/peds. Focus strongly on the PowerPoints and do practice questions to help you learn how's to answer the questions. You can work but I don't recommend working fulltime. Always stay up on the clinical paperwork so you don't fall behind. I think they changed up the curriculum so I'm not sure about the structure. However med surg is the class that most people struggled with and also maternity so study and attend lecture for the most part. Other than that, you will pass
